Creativity Lab: Rediscovery in the Making is an interactive exhibit featuring art-making stations that explore the concept of rediscovery through the creative process. Creativity is a journey of experimentation, where we uncover confidence and curiosity to illuminate the connections in our lives.

The exhibit features 10 making stations that give visitors an opportunity to create, experiment and discover in a range of art mediums. Themes include:

• Inner Treasures - Reveal your inner riches by painting a watercolor geode

• Colorful Transformations - Metamorphosize a mandala into a butterfly

• Perspective in Pattern - Mark milestones in paper beads

• Cape of Hopes & Dreams - Contribute to a community textile piece

• Layered Lives - Tell a story through collage

• Symbolic Stamping - Make a unique print from a handmade stamp

• Creative Conversations - Create a conversation with prompts by Timeslips

• Curate a New Story - Organize artful objects based on a title

• Playful Post - Make a piece of mail art to share

• Chime of Creativity - Add your creative outlet to our collective chime

The exhibition includes descriptions of each making station, available in written and audio formats. Audio descriptions are available via QR codes on the wall labels. Exhibition materials are also available in large print.

GALLERY TAKEOVER

Rediscovery in the Making is the 2023 theme of Gallery Takeover, an annual collaborative project hosted by Creative Spark and Ruth's Table. Throughout the year, we work with many community partners to implement meaningful, theme-based arts experiences, culminating in a community-led exhibit.
