ENDURING INSPIRATION: WHAT IS IT?
During this challenging time, it is vital to stay connected as isolation and loneliness can pose huge challenges to our health. Creativity has the power to fuel our resilience and bring us together as we stay apart.
Our Enduring Inspiration initiative aims to keep our participants connected and encourage our elder, often most vulnerable, communities to explore simple moments of creativity at home.
HOW CAN WE HELP YOU AND YOUR COMMUNITY?
We partner with elder care providers and local nonprofits to offer creative care kits, virtual classes, phone-based support, and community art exhibitions.

ENDURING INSPIRATION EXHIBITION
About / To celebrate our collective creativity, we are hosting a series of community art exhibitions that highlight artworks created during shelter-in-place.
Featuring collage, drawing, painting, poetry, and storytelling, our Enduring Inspiration exhibition is an invitation to reflect on the themes of resilience, identity, and home.
Our next exhibition, Image of Self, opens on December 2, 2021.
CREATIVE SPARK WORKSHEETS + KITS
Creative Spark Worksheets is a collection of art-making projects that participants can do at home. These projects include clear instructions and thought-provoking prompts that encourage creative imagination, experimentation, and play.
Projects vary in challenge level and medium of expression to meet the diverse needs and abilities of our partners.
Supplies / Most of the projects can be completed using easy-to-find materials. Creative Spark kits include all art supplies and are available for partners by request.

PHONE-BASED CONNECTIONS
Individual + Group Support via with our teaching artists and volunteers. These language-based calls offer encouragement and assistance with our Creative Spark worksheets and kits, as well as much-needed friendly social connections.

QUILTING CHALLENGE
About the Project / Guided by a common goal to use creative expression as a vehicle for personal growth and community cohesion, Ruth’s Table has partnered with Social Justice Sewing Academy on an intergenerational quilting challenge.
Pattern / Based on the artwork created by young artists at SJSA, pattern designs celebrate our collective resilience, togetherness, and unity.
