Author Marilyn Chase will share insights into Asawa's inspiring journey—from her early years as a farmer's daughter to her rise as a celebrated artist known for her signature hanging-wire sculptures. Chase draws on Asawa's extensive archives and incorporates perspectives from family, friends, teachers, and critics to offer a complex and fascinating portrait of the artist.
