Join us for a virtual event celebrating the paperback release of Everything She Touched: The Life of Ruth Asawa, the definitive biography of the acclaimed American sculptor. Author Marilyn Chase will share insights into Asawa's inspiring journey—from her early years as a farmer's daughter to her rise as a celebrated artist known for her signature hanging-wire sculptures. Chase draws on Asawa's extensive archives and incorporates perspectives from family, friends, teachers, and critics to offer a complex and fascinating portrait of the artist. Don't miss this chance to explore the life and work of Ruth Asawa through the eyes of her preeminent biographer.

Want to pick up a copy and support a local bookseller? Starting April 15th, Ruth’s Table is supporting our neighbors at Dog Eared Books by selling copies of Everything She Touched in paperback through June 6th in conjunction with ROOTED, our all-new exhibit highlighting AANHPI artists from the Bay Area and the landmark Ruth Asawa Retrospective at SFMOMA.

Have more questions about Ruth Asawa? Get your copy signed and chat with author Marilyn Chase in person at Ruth’s Table on Saturday, April 19th, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm! We’ll be serving up some light refreshments and finding shared connections while honoring Ruth’s amazing life story!
