Experience the Keep an Eye on the Bowl exhibition more closely and let it inspire your writing during this interactive poetry event. At this poetry event supported by a teaching artist, participants are invited to explore and connect with the artwork on view through words and write poetry through ekphrasis, a process of translating an image into words.

The interactive event culminates in poetry reading by artist Joan Schulze.

This workshop is appropriate for most ages and levels of writing experience.

About the artist: Joan Schulze is an internationally recognized visual artist and lyrical poet, best known for her work groundbreaking work in quilt and collage medium. In Schulze’s words, “Poetry ties it all together”.
