SLOW LOOKING: BEYOND THE WARP AND WEFT

Thursday, February 3 | 1-2pm PT
Online

Wonderful things happen when we slow down and engage deeply with works of art. Join us for an interactive session as we revisit Ruth's Table archives to take a slow look at our Beyond the Warp and Weft exhibition. Beyond the Warp and Weft explored the far-reaching impact of Bauhaus ideas and practices in the textile and weaving field, with a particular emphasis on the way contemporary practices have evolved with innovations in materials and technology.

This session will focus on two artworks from the exhibition and explore what we notice, wonder, and discover when we take the time to look closely and carefully. Bring your curiosity as we practice engaging with the artworks and share our observations, perspectives, and questions, through a guided interactive program led by educator and teaching artist Suzanne Reich.

No prior experience of the curator's or artists' talks required.
