SLOW LOOKING: CLIMATE CHANGE
Thursday, October 14 | 1-2pm PT
First Thursday of each month
Wonderful things happen when we slow down and engage deeply with works of art. Join us in an interactive session as we look closely at two artworks from our recent exhibition "Climate Change". The session will explore what we notice, wonder, and discover when we take the time to look closely and carefully.
Bring your curiosity as we practice engaging with two artworks and share our observations, perspectives, and questions in a group setting. In this session, we will spend about 30 minutes with each artwork in a conversation guided by facilitator Suzanne Reich, considering Alisa Singer's Antarctica Ice Melt (2018) and Tanya Knoop's Chapter 2: Capitalism and Industry All Over the World (2021).
No prior experience of the curator's or artists' talks required.
Facilitator: Suzanne Reich
Note: Slow Looking program takes place on the first Thursday of each month. In October, the program is happening on the second Thursday, October 14th.
Registration: Free | RSVP is Essential
