VIRTUAL DROP-IN: EARTH DAY INSPIRED MONOPRINTS

Thursday | April 21 | 2-3pm PT
All ages and skill levels

In honor of Earth Day we will be making plant inspired monoprints! We will create a convenient
printing plate from cardboard and tin foil and use a wooden spoon to print our plates onto paper.
Participants are encouraged to bring in a leaf or element from nature to use. We will experiment with additive and subtractive paint applications as well as how to layer a print with a simple and accurate registration technique.

Supplies:
-Cardboard or foam core to use as a printing plate
-Tin foil
-Tape
-Acrylic or tempera paint
-Paint brushes
-Cup of water, paper towel (to wash and dry brushes)
-Wooden spoon (for printing)
-Paper
Optional: q-tips, leaf or other element from nature (something that is semi flat), ruler
