Thursday | March 24 | 2-3pm PT
Thursday | March 31 | 2-3pm PT
All ages and skill levels

Explore an exciting and accessible printmaking technique at home! In this two-part series, we will be learning about the collograph process and making our own unique collograph prints. During week one, we’ll arrange and attach found and recycled materials to a base to create a printing “plate.” In week two, we’ll use our plates with inks and paints to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind collograph prints!

Supplies:
-
Cardboard to serve as the base (4”x6” or 6”x8” are good sizes)
-Textured, found materials (plastic berry baskets, raffia, corrugated cardboard, sandpaper, string, thick paper, etc.)
-White glue or ModPodge or acrylic gel medium
-Brush for applying glue
-Papers for printing onto
-Paper for using as a guide
-Water-based printmaking inks or acrylic paints
-Roller or brush (for applying the paint/ink to the plate) -Wooden spoon or printmaking baren (for pressing paper into plate)
-Masking tape
-Paper towels and water for cleaning plate between pulls
