VIRTUAL DROP-IN: VEGETABLE PRINTS
Thursday | February 17 | 2-3pm PT
All ages and skill levels
In this class, we’ll be making prints using vegetables - carved into a design and also just simply sliced. We’ll start by carving a potato (sweet potatoes work great because they’re less moist), then move on to carrots, celery and any other vegetable you might have in your refrigerator. Get ready to experiment, have fun and make sure to eat before so you aren’t tempted by your printing tool!
Supplies:
Sweet potato, regular potato, carrot, celery, etc.
Acrylic paint
Paint brush
Bowl of water
Carving tool (i.e., sharp knife)
Pencil
Paper to draw ideas on
Paper to print on (watercolor paper or other heavy paper)
Paper towels
