LETTING GO OF CONTROL:
WET ON WET WATERCOLOR - STILL LIFE COMPOSITION
Wednesdays | May 12 | 1-2pm PT
All ages and skill levels
More than any other painting medium, watercolor inherently has a mind of its own. The process of wet on wet watercolor is full of surprises. It’s about allowing the paint to lead us, not necessarily the other way around. The result is a beautiful combination of soft, feathered edges and colors flowing into each other. The focus of this class will be to experiment with the technique through still life composition.
Supply List:
- Watercolor paper
- Watercolor paints in tubes (your choice of colors)
- Small containers to mix paints (baby food jars or small takeout sauce containers)
- A variety of flat and round brushes
- Paper towels
Instructor’s Note: It is helpful to have an idea of what you want to paint. Bring objects or set up a still life so you’re prepared to jump right in.
