VIRTUAL DROP-IN: ABSTRACT WATERCOLOR PORTRAIT

Wednesdays | September 8 | 1-2pm PT
All ages and skill levels

The workshop will explore abstract approaches to mapping identity and ideas through watercolor. Participants will learn a variety of watercolor techniques to create texture and pattern, explore the symbolism and use of lines in abstract art, and examine how color can be used to help represent emotions, feelings, and ideas, to create a mixed-media work.

Abstract Portrait is a part of the three-session series that explores different approaches to creating a self-portrait, from abstract to expressionistic, and ends with an introduction of the head and face proportions as a basis for a realistic drawing. Participants may choose to attend one or any number of sessions.
